Job Responsibilities 

The Sales Engineer position will report to the VP of Global Sales and be responsible for communicating and demonstrating the technological capabilities of CMC solutions to all levels of people within a customer or prospect organization. Responsibilities will include:

  • Create and deliver customized demonstrations to clients to show how CMC software can solve their specific business challenge(s). This includes:
    • Building out demonstrations that are applicable to the country and business solution we are selling.
    • Add / manipulate data as necessary in the database to reflect the appropriate content / solution
    • Utilize CMC’s Workflow and Decision Tree functionality to demonstrate appropriate business cases
    • Develop channel triggers to make demonstrations interactive / responsive
  • Build relationships with technology personnel at the prospect / client organization to strengthen our position with the company
  • Work with internal CMC Technical team, Product Management team, and Training team to ensure an understanding of the product and educate the sales team as needed
  • Evaluate Clients current operations and map / apply CredAgility® benefits to their business. Develop business models / ROI’s as necessary
  • Gather requirements so we fully understand the customer / prospect needs and can make educated decisions on the best next steps
  • Develop Technical or Business Solution overviews as needed for marketing or client sales requirements
  • Help to manage the sales cycle to ensure we meet targets and consistently understand opportunities and risks that are present
  • Follow through with documentation requests from prospects and clients
  • Manage all efforts in Sales Force
  • Assist in completing RFI and RFP responses
  • Assist with the initial business requirement gathering process when appropriate to ensure a smooth transition to the CMC project team

 

Desired Work Experience and Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must have a polished, professional communication style to interact with all levels of people within an organization
  • Comfortable talking with strangers; often senior level officials at banks
  • Strong technology background; includes knowledge of batch and real-time integrations (asynchronous and synchronous)
  • Understanding of Banking, Lending, and Collections at a high level
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, start-up like environment
  • Proven track record of offering innovative ideas to improve products and processes; includes providing feedback from meetings / conversations with clients as to what potential product enhancements or other solution opportunities may exist
  • Enjoys delivering outstanding customer service, including meticulous follow-up
  • Driven to work and succeed independently, yet works well in a team environment
  • Confidence with decision-making skills; willing to make mistakes and learn from them as opposed to always needing to “ask permission” prior to taking any action
  • Ability to work out of our Wilmington, DE office when not visiting clients or prospects
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including some international travel.
  • Four year college degree
  • Previous sales experience
